The Ackland Museum Store carries home wares such as pottery, glass, tableware, and metalwork; jewelry, textiles, and accessories; children’s toys and books; stationery; and books about art history, contemporary art and design, and culture and lifestyles, as well as books by UNC and regional authors.
A dedicated gallery space features exhibitions of original artworks in a variety of media by local and regional artists. All proceeds from the store support the Ackland’s exhibition and education programs.

This spring, the Ackland Museum Store celebrates Steampunk, and its imaginative reworking of "the Steam Age" (the late 18th through early 20th centuries), through works of art in a variety of media, including textiles, metals, insects, paper, and the written word. Artists included in the exhibition are Tom Banwell, Mike Libby, Elwira Pawlikowska, Pamela Quevado, Ramona Szczerba, Madelyn Smoak, and Katharine Whalen. The Clockwork Dark books, an epic fantasy trilogy by 2013 Piedmont Laureate John Claude Bemis, will also be available. Read the press release.
