Three professors in three different departments, Mary Sheriff, (Art), Lloyd Kramer (History), and James Thompson, (English) team-taught a first-year seminar of eighteen students. The seminar, “Seeing the Past,” focused on these three paintings in the context of eighteenth-century art, music, history, politics, literature and religion. One final product of the class was the design of a power-point presentation for each of the three paintings. The power-points are accessible from this site.
