The Ackland's capital campaign is part of Carolina First and is not included in the 2001 Higher Education Bond Referendum. Our goal, for Phase I of the expansion, is $25 million. This phase includes all the new construction, but leaves the third floor unfinished until Phase II. Phase III will focus on renovations to the existing building. Planned phasing allows the Ackland to stay open to the public throughout the project. A dedicated group of Ackland supporters has seeded the expansion fund with almost $2 million dollars. Every level of donation brings us a step closer to opening the doors of the New Ackland.
