The Ackland offers numerous opportunities for research projects based on its collections and related to UNC-CH undergraduate and graduate courses. Faculty members and teaching assistants who are interested in assigning class research projects should contact the University Educator, who has information about research resources that you will need to know.

Black-and-white photographs of some works of art in the galleries are available for purchase. If you would like to know about the availability and price for a photograph of a particular object, you should contact the Assistant Registrar. Most photograph requests take two to three weeks to process.
Graduate students and faculty members who would like to make arrangements to conduct research projects on objects in the Ackland collection may contact the University Educator to discuss research objectives, plans and options for study and Museum rules and availability.
