The Ackland Art Museum, located on the campus of the University of North Carolina, is a good place to see Indian art from Hindu, Buddhist, and Muslim traditions. In addition to bronze and stone sculptures-- including representations of Krishna, Parvati, Vishnu, and Ganesha-- the Ackland houses a fine collection of miniature paintings.
