On the eve of Virginie's departure for Europe, a passionate dialogue between her and Paul reveals their mutual love, but nevertheless she is persuaded to leave.

The prints of this series display a variety of light and weather conditions. Here the dramatic moonlit landscape reinforces the emotional intensity of the human interaction.
