New Currents in Contemporary Art: Master of Fine Arts 2003
Homeland Security Advisory System, 2003

Severn Eaton will present a series of conceptual artworks of figures and buildings. In one work human forms, made directly on the wall in plaster, are shown in different positions of motion. Eaton’s series of miniature buildings portray the ten largest skyscrapers in the world. “Occasionally I come across a common object or event that speaks powerfully and directly of the tragedy of human progress,” notes Eaton. “These striking metaphors have become the basis for the majority of my work.”
