Recent Acquisitions in Photography
On View:
May 16 - August 23, 2009
This special collection installation of recent acquisitions in photography demonstrates the ways in which artists like Eadweard Muybridge, Barbara Morgan, Brassai, Burk Uzzle, and Adrian Piper investigate ideas of time and its passing in composition and subject matter. Together, these works explore the varied roles that photography plays in art, from documentation for scientific exploration of movement to manipulation and interpretation.
